DOCUMENTATION & TRANSLATIONS

Translations

The principal consulates of the country offer translation services. Documents originated in the US, for example, should be notarized and the signature of the notary public certified by the county clerk in which the notary is registered as such.

Documents originating in the DR for translation to English, such as: birth certificates, divorce sentences, matrimony documents, should be legalized by the Central Office of the Civil Registry (at the Central Electoral Board (JCE), and the Ministry of Foreign Relations as well as certified by the US Consulate in the Dominican Republic.

Grades, diplomas, school certificates. These documents need to be certified by the Ministry of Education or by the National Council of Superior Education (CONES), according to the case, and legalized by the Ministry of Foreign Relations and certified by the US Consulate in the DR.

Any other document that needs to be translated into English or another language and vice versa that fulfills the established requirements.

Other Documents

Single status declaration, recognition of minors, sworn affidavit, authorization for a minor to marry, settlements in case of divorce by mutual consent, testaments and contracts (sales, mortgage and other kinds).

Documentation for the Transport of Animals
